James Calderone President
In his position as President of Louis Perry Group, James Calderone, P.E., D.B.I.A., is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, integrity, profitability, client satisfaction and success of the firm. With over 25 years of experience in engineering, construction and the design-build industry, he assumed his position in December 2014 after years of service as Senior Vice President of Operations for Louis Perry & Associates and Executive Vice President of Construction for The Perry Group, Ltd.
After joining LPG in 1997, he worked in the power and industrial sectors, with projects involving new facilities, balance of plant projects and process additions. His responsibilities have included cost and schedule control, contract and construction administration, engineering and project management.
Prior to LPG, Calderone worked at consulting engineering firms throughout Northeast Ohio. He holds a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Youngstown State University.
Richard Rissmiller Vice President – Industrial Division
Vice President for the Industrial Division of Louis Perry Group, Richard Rissmiller, P.E., oversees marketing and business development efforts in the industrial sector. His experience spans 35 years in the consulting engineering arena, and he's held various operations and management positions. His ever-increasing responsibilities have lead him to his current position.
With over 20 years of service at LPG, Rissmiller has taken on numerous industrial and power sector projects involving new facilities, renovations and process additions. His responsibilities have included cost and schedule control, contract and construction administration, engineering and project management and company direction.
Prior to joining LPG, Rissmiller was senior mechanical project leader at MK Ferguson for six years. Prior to that, he spent 10 years working for Akron, Ohio-area consulting engineering firms, supporting the tire industry leaders headquartered in the city.
He holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from The University of Akron.
John York Project Director
John York is a Project Director for the Louis Perry Group. In this position, he's responsible for overall coordination for multi-discipline engineering and design-build projects, as well as being the single-source contact for the client to ensure accurate and constant communication with all stakeholders. His experience spans over 45 years, and he's held various positions in the consulting engineering field.
An associate at LPG since 1992, his experience has been in the rubber, plastics and industrial manufacturing sector involving new facilities, retrofit, renovations and additions. Responsibilities include value engineering, manpower estimating and tracking, bidding and procurement management, project schedule, cost control and involvement from design through construction.
Prior to joining LPG, he worked with other Akron, Ohio-area-based multi-discipline engineering consulting firms, supporting the rubber, plastics and industrial sectors.
Nicholas Phelps Director of Construction Services
As Director of Construction Services for Louis Perry Group, Nicholas Phelps is in charge of the overall execution of projects on-site, including, safety, scheduling and coordination of subcontractors and LPG personnel. His experience spans 30 years in the construction field, and he's held various operations and management positions with increasing responsibility leading to his current position.
An associate of LPG since 2006, his experience has been in the power and industrial sectors with projects involving new facilities, balance of plant projects and process additions. Power experience includes several FGD retrofit projects and new construction projects.
Prior to joining LPG, he worked as a Project Scheduler and Construction Manager for firms in the Midwest.
Heather Rankin Director of Finance & Human Resources
Heather Rankin is Director of Finance & Human Resources for the Louis Perry Group. In this position, she's responsible for the oversight of the company's corporate finance and human resource functions. Her experience spans over 15 years, and she's held positions with increasing responsibility in the accounting field.
An associate at LPG since 2004, her responsibilities include general accounting and financial statement preparation in accordance to GAAP, management of insurance and banking relationships and supervision of the accounting staff in the preparation of payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
Her professional career began as an intern at LPG in 1999. She then worked in many areas of finance at The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company, including Treasury, Tax and Corporate Accounting. She returned to LPG in February 2004.
She holds a bachelor's of science degree in accounting from The University of Akron.
